How this works, and what it deliberately won't do
Every rupee on the result page is computed by a deterministic engine in this file, from a rulepack of current-year rates. No language model touches the arithmetic — a model is used only to answer follow-up questions in plain English, through a shared backend with no setup needed.
The engine is checked against 21 hand-built salary profiles whose expected answers were computed by a second, independently written implementation — including the ₹12 lakh rebate cliff, marginal relief just past it, the ₹50 lakh surcharge boundary, and a profile that sits ten rupees from the break-even point.
Out of scope on purpose: business or freelance income, capital gains, foreign assets, non-resident status, more than two employers. You'll be asked about these up front and told plainly if you need a CA.
Here's what I read. Fix anything that's wrong.

Anything here apply to you this year?
These push a return beyond what a payslip can answer. Better to say so now than twenty questions in.
Good catch — this one's worth getting right
What you ticked changes the computation in ways a payslip alone can't settle. Rather than guess, here's exactly what to hand your CA — plus a salary-only estimate you can use right now.
Your salary-only numbers are ready
The salary side of the computation is done and correct — it's only the items you ticked above that need a professional. Your CA can start from these numbers.
Good call — the numbers above are ready whenever your CA needs them.
A few questions — only the ones that can change the answer

How to save more tax?
Ways to reduce this that most people never think to ask HR or their CA about.
The computation, line by line
Every row shows where the number came from and which rule shaped it. Check the ones marked as estimates.

Annual figures. If you only know monthly, multiply by twelve — or better, take them from your Form 16 Part B or your HR portal's tax sheet.
Golden test suite
Twenty-one salary profiles. Expected values were produced by a second implementation written independently of the engine — if the two disagree, one of them is wrong and neither ships.
